It’s true that Oracle delivers an upgrade process for the PeopleSoft Enterprise applications. This process performs a compare of the delivered database objects but does not address the impact of database structure changes of custom and modified SQRs, queries, application engine programs or component interfaces. These are critical and time-consuming components of the upgrade. As a result you are left ‘guesstimating’ the level of effort required to perform the upgrade.

The Upgrade Assessment is performed offsite and utilizes a methodology designed to rapidly assess the scope of the upgrade effort. SQR’s, queries, application engine programs and component interfaces are run through our proprietary tool. The resulting reports are then analyzed to identify the required remediation and allows for a more accurate estimate of the level of effort to complete the upgrade. Comparisons of modified SQR’s are performed to determine the extent of remediation required.
